Welcome back to Term 3. I hope the break brought rest, joy, and moments of renewal for your families. As we step into the new term together, we do so with gratitude for God’s faithfulness and anticipation for all He will continue to grow in us as a learning community.
This term brings fresh opportunities to learn deeply, serve generously, and strengthen the relationships that make Kuyper such a vibrant place. Our staff have been preparing thoughtfully, and we are excited to see students re-engage with their learning, their peers, and the rhythms that shape our life together.
Across the school, we will continue to anchor our work in the truth that Christ is Lord over all of life. Whether in classrooms, on the playground, in creative spaces, or through practical service, we want every student to experience learning that is purposeful, hope-filled, and grounded in God’s story.
Parents and carers, thank you for the partnership you bring. Your encouragement, prayer, and presence are vital to the flourishing of our students. We look forward to walking alongside you throughout the term.
Students, we’re glad to see you. Bring your curiosity, your courage, your kindness, and your willingness to grow. Term 3 is a new chapter—lean into it with joy and confidence.
Lastly, I would like to let you know that Mrs Jo Kean has decided to retire at the end of this year after many years of faithful service to our school community. As our Kindergarten teacher, she has helped so many of your children start their school journey.
Mrs Kean has invested deeply in the lives of her students, loving each child with warmth, wisdom and patience. In turn, she is a dearly-loved teacher, and the love and respect shown to her by students and their families over the years is a testament to the lasting impact of her faithful care. While there will be opportunities later in the year to celebrate and thank her more formally, I wanted to share this news with you now and express our deep gratitude for her remarkable contribution to the life of Kuyper.
