Our School

Keeping the gospel at the heart of education

Learning in God’s World

Kuyper Christian School is committed to working in partnership with parents to provide a rich and challenging learning environment that is a faithful expression of a Bible-based, Christian worldview. We have a strong focus on the uniqueness of each child and the importance of developing their God-given abilities so that competence is expressed in a heartfelt response to God’s call and purpose for their lives.

Our team of experienced and passionate Christian staff are committed to delivering rigorous and innovative educational experiences for students that keep the gospel at the heart of all teaching and learning. We are known for our genuine care and a strong community built on cooperation, rather than competition, as we strive together to honour God and serve others.

Our Vision

A learning community that prepares students to live restoratively for Jesus in a world where every square inch belongs to Him.

teach me how to be
a healer in a hurting society
teach me how to be
bold in the face of mediocrity

Gospel-hearted Learning

Students are encouraged to view their learning as a faithful response to God and to delight in developing their abilities for the purpose of serving God and others. Skills are viewed as tools to be used in learning how to be God’s person in His world.

Gospel-hearted Teaching

We teach students within an understanding that the Bible gives us about ourselves, the world and the God who made both. Our dedicated Christian staff know and love Jesus for themselves and are committed to delivering a creative and challenging curriculum grounded in a Christian worldview.

teach me how to be
Christ-like in a fallen world
teach me how to be
a peace-maker in times of conflict

Gospel-hearted Community

At Kuyper we welcome whole families into the life and community of our school. We recognise that parents have a God-given role in raising their children, and that developing strong relationships with parents is pivotal in creating a Bible-based, learning community.

Character and Competence

Each child is valued as an individual made in the image of God, with talents and abilities to be developed for serving God and others. The development of positive relationships, character and a personal response to God are equal in importance to the development of skills.

Cooperation over Competition

Learning is not competitive. Our classrooms foster a cooperative, inclusive learning environment built on voluntary leadership and submission, giving and receiving help, patience and mutual encouragement.

Reliance on God

We delight in being a community who read and talk about the Bible. We pray together as teachers, students, parents and families. Every square inch of our school belongs to Jesus.

Serving One Another

As a community, serving one another and our world is a natural response to what God has given us. Servant-heartedness marks our relationships with one another and the world around us.
