Kuyper Cross Country Carnival // It was the perfect day for our Cross Country Carnival. Students enjoyed a variety of sporting activities on the hardcourts in addition to running the course. Our K-2 students thoroughly enjoyed running a short course with their Year 6 buddies and Secondary Outdoor Recreation students, and it was lovely to share the day with many of our parents.
A huge thank you to Mr Baldwin for organising the day, Mrs Kirkby and Ms Johnson for cooking the BBQ lunch, and all the students who stepped up to help in ways big and small.
We rounded out the day with an Easter Celebration Assembly. What a wonderful way to finish the week! Have a blessed Easter, Kuyper!

Stage 2 Easter Show Excursion // On Friday, 23 March, just the second day after its official opening, Year Three and Four had the wonderful opportunity of visiting the Sydney Royal Easter Show and exploring the exhibitions, animals, and interactive delights on display.
Students were able to experience a variety of wonders at the show: being up close and personal with many different animals, both friendly and less friendly, VR interactive learning, milking demonstrations, food tasting, a fire and rescue display, honeybee talks, feeding time at the animal nursery, woodchopping competitions, and much more. They also learnt that farming and food production are not without their horrors, as the noises and smells from just some animal pens could attest to!
A special thank you to the parents and Year 10 students who helped make this experience such a memorable one for our Year 3 & 4 classes.
Mr Weule, Mrs Cumming, Mr Boughey.

People & Places History Excursion // Kindergarten, Year One, and Year Two have been learning about family, places, and how historians investigate events of the past. On Monday, 18th March, they visited Kurrajong and North Richmond Anglican Church. The Minister, Peter Wood, helped students explore the features of the historic church building and understand how the community of Kurrajong has used this special place in changing ways since 1866. Students were also able to explore the historic graveyard and reflect on life in the past.
Thank you to Kurrajong & North Richmond Anglican Church for hosting us and to Mr. Searle for assisting with transportation. We had a wonderful morning out and about in our local community.
Mr Boughey, Mrs McAlpine and Mrs Kean (Class Teachers)

In the Playground // Cafes are popping up all over our playground this week, and there is hot competition for customers between competing businesses. Signs, flyers, and menus have been created by budding young marketers, and some sumptuous dishes have been prepared by future master chefs!
The Chook Stew and Forest Soup specialty dishes come highly recommended. Make sure you bring your autumn leaves and loose pebbles to pay; EFTPOS is not available.
