The Senior Leadership Team
As we bid farewell to Mr Ramsay, we reflect on the last three years of his service to our school community. While it is never easy to say goodbye, we are grateful for his leadership, his unwavering commitment to the growth of our students, and the lasting impact he has made on all of us.
From the beginning, Mr Ramsay approached his role with a heart of humility and a servant-minded spirit. In his roles as Teacher, Head of Learning & Development, Assistant Principal and Principal, he led not from a position of authority but from a posture of service, always putting the needs of others – students, staff, and the wider school community – before his own. Whether implementing programs, welcoming students and their families, or handing out jellybeans on birthdays, Mr Ramsay showed us what it looks like to lead by example.
At Kuyper, we understand that each student, in fact, each person, is an individual uniquely made by God. Each person has unique gifts and strengths to be developed and used to serve others and the community as a way of honouring God. Mr Ramsay is no different. Earlier this year, Mr Ramsay shared that his own principal had known each student’s name, and that had deeply impacted him. Mr Ramsay went beyond that: not only learning each student’s name but making each one feel truly known and valued. His desire was to see each student understand who Jesus is and how deeply they are loved by Him.
As Mr Ramsay moves on to his next chapter, we want to thank him for his faithful service. His time at Kuyper has been a blessing to so many of us. We pray that God continues to guide and bless him as he embarks on this new journey, just as He has blessed us through his leadership. We know that the school community he is joining will be just as fortunate to experience the impact of his humility, heart for service, and commitment to building up those around him.
Thank you, Mr Ramsay, for the many ways you’ve shown us what it means to lead with love and live out the gospel daily. May God bless you abundantly. We trust that God has great things in store for you and the community you will serve next.
Other staff news
At the end of the term, we will also say goodbye to Miss Lyndall Gluskie, our Technology teacher in Secondary, and Mrs Bec Block, one of our Teacher’s Aides, as they each move to different parts of Queensland. We will have an opportunity to farewell them at the end of the term. Please pray for them as they prepare for their respective moves.
Mr Robert Coleman’s leave will continue for the remainder of this term. Rob is thankful for the additional time he was able to spend with Christine and their daughters before Christine’s passing and is now taking time with Joanna and Alannah as they mourn and support each other. He is missing the Kuyper community, particularly his students, but is where he is most needed at this time. At the Celebration of Christine’s Life held by her family at their home church yesterday, Rob expressed his gratitude for our support this year. Please continue to uphold Rob, Joanna, and Alannah before our Lord in prayer as they develop new patterns for daily life.
We are pleased to welcome Mr David Crawford to our team for the next three weeks as he steps in to help cover Rob’s Maths and Science classes. We are grateful for David, who has previously taught at Nepean and Tyndale Christian Schools, and his willingness to support our school during this season.
