Enrolment
Find out more about enrolment at Kuyper.
Kuyper Christian School was established in 1982 as the outcome of a vision by Christian parents committed to providing authentic Christian education in the Hawkesbury. These pioneering parents were convinced of the importance of recognising God’s sovereignty over all of life, including education, and the crucial role of parents in raising their children with this understanding. Their founding mission remains central to the life of our School.
Our Mission Statement
Kuyper Christian School is a community of families, teachers and friends who acknowledge Christ as the source of truth and life as revealed in the Bible and His world.
We serve Christ by supporting parents in their God-given responsibility to nurture their children.
We recognise the worth and uniqueness of each individual and provide a co-operative environment that seeks to develop the whole child, so that each one may grow in their relationship with God and serve Him.
Kuyper commenced in the historic Old Schoolhouse on the grounds of St John’s Anglican Church, Wilberforce and moved to its current location on Redbank Rd in 1984. From a foundation class of 16 primary-age students, Kuyper has grown to a thriving Prep to Year 12 learning community of over 200 students.
Why Kuyper?
Abraham Kuyper (1837-1920) was an extraordinary and historic figure; a Dutch pastor, Reformed theologian, scholar, journalist, educator and statesman. He was a courageous advocate for equality, regardless of social status, race or gender, at a time when that notion was not the overwhelming sentiment of the day. Kuyper clearly articulated the importance of recognising that everyone has a worldview; a personal and also corporate way of perceiving and interacting with reality. A Reformed Christian worldview holds that all of life is to be lived to the glory of God, and that there is no area of life that is not subject to the Lordship of Christ. This core belief espousing God’s sovereignty is the foundational principle of our School.
There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: ‘Mine!

Future Vision
Kuyper Christian School continues to grow. In 2017, the Kuyper School Board initiated a Master Plan, with a view to laying a roadmap for the future. Our Master Plan envisages the next stage in site development as we continue to work in partnership with parents to provide a vibrant and effective learning community. Kuyper is currently in the initial stages of a new building program to provide for growth to a full, single-stream school. We are grateful for the many ways in which God continues to equip us.
