Mark Ramsay, Principal
We have come to the time of year when we need to say farewell to staff who have decided to embark on the next chapters of their working lives. Two staff members have recently let me know of changes in direction for them next year.
Mr Brett Mills joined the Kuyper team at the beginning of 2023. He brought with him a wealth of experience teaching in Christian schools, and the Year 5 classes of this year and last year have certainly benefited from that experience. We have loved his creative approach to teaching and his desire to bring joy to every aspect of learning. Brett has decided that this year will be his last as a permanent staff member. He has an increasing level of responsibility in his family and a need to reduce his workload elsewhere. However, we are pleased that we will still see him around the school next year as a casual teacher.
Ms Meg Lloyd-Johnson joined the Kuyper team in a permanent position this year, teaching Secondary English and Drama, as well as some extra lessons with Year 4. Meg’s infectious enthusiasm and creative flair have been a real blessing to our community, particularly with her involvement in the Shrek Jr Musical. Meg will be taking up an opportunity to teach English at Nepean Christian School in 2025. We are thrilled to be able to bless a fellow CEN school with such a wonderful teacher.
There will be opportunities to farewell Brett and Meg before the end of the year. In the meantime, please join me in praying for them in these new seasons of their lives.
